Your readiness to cooperate with him in preserving peace to the frontier Inhabitants and in those measures which Congress have thought proper to adopt in the same view will I am persuaded give him sincere pleasure. I shall write to M^r Henley to consider the Militia you have mentioned in the Service of the United States till such time as the orders of the President can be known on the Subject.
