Carolina, Sir The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of four hundred and eighty three Doll[ars] and Ninety eight Cents which you will please pay to Capt Michael Haltoisen at Fort Johnsone being for the pay of himself Ensign Robert Torrans and the Men under the Command of Capt Michael Haltoisens for May and June 1794 for which sum he will [give] Duplicate receipts to be accountable for the due application thereof.
