Auditor Department Philadelphia [Docket notation, right side: undecipherable] 1796 [undecipherable] [undecipherable] Marietta 25^th July 1796 I have inclosed Vouchers for money paid for Militia Services in the Year 1793 for 20 days in July & Sep^r & 20 days in Oct^r in that Year I dont know of any money Received for Militia Service unaccounted for. Lieut. [undecipherable] [undecipherable] of [undecipherable] are all absent I have been [undecipherable] more then one year, I have no Copy of their Muster Rolls. I never Received any money myself in 1791 therefore it is difficult to ascertain the [undecipherable] exactly I will at any rate have the [undecipherable] Closed. I shall be so kind as to Inclose the [undecipherable] (if any) I will esteem it an act of [undecipherable] [undecipherable] you will no Doubt upon this have [undecipherable] the [undecipherable] of 1793 & [undecipherable] [undecipherable: Putnam's] [undecipherable] also [undecipherable] Receipts for money & had no Reason to draw [undecipherable] for in March & April 1795. M^r [undecipherable: Greene] has Written [undecipherable: Buttin] that he is not able to Obtain any money for the last [undecipherable] in Consequence of my accounts being unsettled. I have forwarded all the [undecipherable] I have in my possession for money Charged to me in [undecipherable] [undecipherable]. [undecipherable] will there be a few different Vouchers I will [undecipherable] them forwarded immediately upon Information I [undecipherable: pledge] myself & [undecipherable: Property] that all money that I [undecipherable] Justly Charged with Shall be accounted for. I hope Sir you will not Refuse to [undecipherable] the Sum due on the [undecipherable] Call^d for by M^r [undecipherable: Greene], the men to [undecipherable] the money is due have no Connection with the [undecipherable] in Militia Service.
