Jacob Beam: Why is his pay not made up for November and December — if he has been paid on any roll for those months he should have been made up for the whole amount due him. — The account should have been certified by his Commanding Officer who had a knowledge of the amount of pay due him. This would have been required had the accounts been settled here. John Taylor Serg^t. It has been an uniform rule here in the settlement of accounts of this nature not to allow any soldier the premium for apprehending a Deserter if his expenses have been paid by the Public, either the Premium or the Expenses are deducted as the man is receiving pay from the Public for the time he is in pursuit — which is not the case with any other person.
