accordingly, Capt Littlefield, has written concerning the pay of a Sergeant of his Company for the Month of May being with held, on a reference to the pay Note I find the Money, has been forwarded to you with that of the Corps for that Month. You will please therefore have it rectified and the Money paid to him. The pay for John Braysbridge Serjeant for the Month of May was forwarded with the other Money for the Corps for that Month and if not paid to him, it is a mistake. You will on application to M^r Fleming have it rectified. I am &c Peter Hagner P^r Clk Jonathan Jackson Esq^r Accountants Office Supervisor Boston July 20. 1794 Sir Having received Information that you are appointed Supervisor for the District of Boston, I hav[e] in the absence of the Accountant to advise you of a Remittance from the Treasurer of the United States to you of three hundred and thirty four Dollars and 22/100 to be by you paid to Capt — Samuel Nicholson of the Frigate building at Boston being for his Pay and Subsistence from 1^st April to 30 June 1796 which sum you will accordingly pay him taking his Duplicate Receipts one of which you will please to forward to this Office, As you may be unacquainted (from your late appointment) of the Compensation allowed to Supervisors for transacting business of this Nature for the War departments. I enclose you the Copy of a circular letter, dated 12 June 1794 to Supervisors on this subject for your Information. Your account for Compensation, agreeably to this letter, is to be forwarded once in each quarter to this office when received an examination will takes place and the amount Remitted to You.
