I have not until now found time to answer your letter of June 11— or to arrange and make out my Muster and Pay Rolls for June — transmit to you my vouchers for pay to my former — or present detachment. The Muster and Pay Rolls you may have presented from West Point. Lieutenant Rowen Clymes and only received our pay for that month of Cap. Flemming — the pay transmitted since, or with carried to June. The pay forwarded [also intitled bounty] to Albany came to hand just before our last [undecipherable], inclosed are duplicate receipts for each: also, my receipt rolls for the pay to my former and present detachments. Receipts for their retained bounty, I have not yet taken duplicates for — but intend to do it, and to forward one to you from Niagara — more claim retained bounty than 150 dollars will pay — I will thank you to send me some detachment Muster and Pay Rolls; I have much unnecessary trouble with my accounts, and after all, they are not as intelligible as I wish — Lieutenant McQuillin, Quarter Master tho' his [undecipherable] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] — had no additional pay sent them for May — this you can set right in here — I have no recruiting instructions — nor wish for any — yet when a handsome young fellow offers — such as I approve of to fill up my company; I cannot refuse him — three such — who wait for their bounties til you send them — I have listed and will thank you to send as much money or next as will pay them. Vouchers which I have no duplicates of, I retain, and wish not to part with 'till I get a sure conveyance — Such as the incidental expences of the detachments, and bounties to my own recruits; for which please to keep an open act. with me — I shall muster my detachment for July at Niagara.
