Sir,
John Kilty Esq. C. Supervisor of Maryland will pay you the sum of seven hundred thirty five dollars fifty seven cents, being for the pay of yourself and men to the 30th June 1796 for which you will give him duplicate rects to be accountable for the Disbursement thereof agreeably to the enclosed Rect Rolls — I enclose you blank Muster, Pay & Rect Rolls & in future you will make out your muster and pay rolls at the expiration of each month & forward them to this office when the amount thereof will be forwarded to you.
