[number symbol] 13 Edward Miller recd. 9th July ansd same day New York July 7th 1796 Sir I have received your letter of June 30th. Jobe Harrington was taken for Desertion, and was pardoned by request of Capt Pratt being one of his deserters, he reinlisted, I have not paid him any Bounty (he Deserted again from West point) it was a mistake including him for Bounty - I will thank you to forward the pay for the month of May 1796 for my Self, Sergt Joel Cook Corpl James Blakeslee, Lewis Hawley Music, Eli Bennett Music, Nathan Randall Private to Middletown as I shall return there recruiting. I enclose you the Muster & pay Rolls of the the above men for the month of June 1796. Also a Receipt Roll for Bounties paid amounting to one hundred and seventy six Dollars.
