Mr Frederick Dalshe Surgeon Mate
being about to proceed to Charlestown there to remain under
your Command, I conceive it proper that you should be in-
formed, that he has given a power of Attorney for three
hundred and fifty one dollars to be paid at this office out
of his pay and forage as the same becomes due which—
will be accordingly done when ever you forward the Muster
Rolls. You will therefore not make any payments to him
until you receive directions from this Office,

I have to inform you that agreeably to his Letter to you of the
30th Ulto— your Recruiting account has been under examination
and the result is that the amount thereof cannot be passed to
your Credit for the following reasons—
John Verder has not been mustered, and there is
no certificate of the Magistrate of his being an able bodied
Man.— No Receipts of the Magistrate for attaching the
Soldier — No Inlistments accompanying the Account.
