Pittsburg 24th June 1795
Sir
Your letter of the 19th is this moment come to hand. General Wayne arrived yesterday at one Oclock O.M. He says that he expected to have found that all the Indian Goods has reached this post, together with his private Stores none of which have as yet appeared except two Quarter Casks brought by John McMellen, Waggoner who has also brought the first parcel of the Indian Goods.
The General sets off on Monday next his anxious that all the Stores for the Army be pushed forward he however sees that there is not a probability of their being detained at this post.
An asortment of Files for the Armourers & Blacksmiths is much wanted, I have been under a necessity of purchasing some of these Articles here at a very high price.
Three hundred Bayonets are also wanted — but if they cannot be procured in Philadelphia I can have them made at this place.
The Vouchers of Issues of Provisions shall be put up in as make a packet as possible & transmitted to you by next post.
P.S. Be pleased to put the enclosed Letters on the right road to their respective destinations.
Sam. Bo. Your very obt Hle St.
Sam Hodgson esq. Isaac Craig.
