I have received your letter of the 16th ulto, and have directed the Officer commanding at Tellico to put an immediate stop to the sale of Spirituous liquors to Indians. I expect, therefore, that there will be no renewal of the scene which have been lately transacted at that post.
The Purveyor, I presume, has informed you of his having received the skins, and the goods for the trading house which have been sent you by the return waggons.
