Sir,
I transmit inclosed, a receipt of John Habersham Esqr dated May 25th 1796, for four Dollars, and thirty seven cents, applied by him, to defray the incidental & contingent expenses of the Department of War, in the State of Georgia; which receipt is to be annexed to a warrant, to be issued by the Secretary of War, on the Treasurer, in favor of said Habersham, who is to be charged, and held accountable for the same, in the Books of your Office. —
