Your letter of the 2d Inst —
enclosing your Muster and pay Rolls for the Month of May 1796 —
I have received; the Pay Roll amounting to One hundred and —
twelve Dollars has been examined which Sum you will receive
from Nicholas Fish Esqr and for which you will give him —
Duplicate receipts to be accountable for the disbursement thereof —
agreeably to the enclosed Receipt Roll —
[P.S. The charges against you on the Books of this office are
corrected. You will therefore forward your receipt rolls
that the same may be posted to your Credit accordingly &c]
