Herewith you will find enclosed several Muster and Pay Rolls of the Detachments at the upper posts of the Ohio &ca for the Months of January and February 1796– these Rolls are accompanied by a Schedule by which it appears that the several sums paid on theRolls amount to Two thousand and eighty dollars eighty six cents which sum you will be pleased to place to my Credit.– Four Receipt Rolls are also enclosed herewith the several sums that appear thereon paid, you will of course place to the credit of the Officers respectively.
Caleb Swan's Receipt dated Greenville 25th January 1796 for fourteen thousand four hundred and thirty six dollars transmitted him by Major Bowe is also now enclosed.
Blank Muster and Pay Rolls are much wanted. By the Statement made in your Office of my account you charge me with an Error of four dollars seventy cents in Captain Crawfords Rolls, as Icannot discover these Errors Iwill thank you to point out the Rolls they are to be found in.
