Sir,
I have received your letter of the 27th ultimo. Lieutenant Lovell has delivered me the three thousand, two hundred, twenty six dollars and twenty four cents which you had remitted through the hands of the Supervisor of New York, for the pay of the corps at West Point.
I transmit you the following vouchers for payments made by me: vizt
Receit Roll for the pay and forage for the month of February 1796 with recets thereon to the amount of Two Thousand, Seven Hundred and Two Dollars, Twenty Eight Cents.

Besides the papers already enumerated I inclose you likewise the following; vizt –
Lieut. Heaths power to Joseph Branch to receive his pay for March 1796.
Capt. Fryes power to Lieut. Lovell; for the like purpose for February 1796.
An account of Stoppages made from certain Soldiers at West Point, dated May 4th 1796, and amounting to Fifteen Dollars 73cts
And for inspection
Corporal Donald McIntires Accounts.
I wait only for your answer to this letter, and directions with whom to leave the money remaining in my hands, to proceed on my furlough.
