Your letter of the 5th Inst: enclosing [the] Muster and Pay Role of 31 March 1796 have been received — the pay role has been examined amounting to Two Hundred fifty one Dollars and Seventy Three Cents which you will receive from Henry Miller Esq: Supervisor of the State of Pennsylvania and for which you will sign Duplicate [Receipts] to be accountable for the disbursement thereof agreeably to the enclosed Note — I have to observe to you that your own pay is deducted [from] the Pay Role; You having considerable Recruiting Money in Your h[ands] unaccounted for —
