Philad^a 15 June 1796. My dear Sir I have made it seem some mistake Taylors notes are in two of the notes sent you and I now inclose you two others to correct that mistake. I expect the merchants and traders of this town will take a decisive step this morning expressive of their anxious wish to have the appropriations made without delay to carry the British treaty into effect. The alarm among the underwriters and shippers is very great. I hope you have taken the lead. I long to hear from you.
