Enclosed I do myself the pleasure of transmitting to your care — an order on the War Office for my Pay which you will be so Kind and Obliging as to receive for me and forward it by return Post. My Account I have Stated agreeable to your kind advice that is from the 23. October 1795. to January — and then have given the United States credit for one Months pay received the 24 March 1796. the order here enclosed you will see is on the Accountants office. Mr. Simmons agreeable to me seems most convenient, tho you are a better judge than myself — Mr Hackett was to see me yesterday, and asked a thousand questions about you and your Lady he desires to be remembered affectionately to you both
