I believe there is 15 Vessels in Lake Ontario, 13 of the Crown and two of Merchants and about 6 in Lake Erie, those in Lake Erie go from Fort Erie to Michillimackanac: some to the Crown and some to private Gentlemen. Provisions is always brought from Montreal in Boats to Kingston formerly called Cattarogue north end of Lake Ontario and from thence in Vessels to Niagara — H. Glen.
