[No 91] [St. P. O. 40] Philadelphia April 7^th 1796 – Dear Sir Major Craig was kind enough to accommodate with a number of Boats if Gore would consult to the proposal which I made a few days since. And I feel myself under great obligations to you for your friendly compliance with my wishes. I am engaged so far in the Public service, as to be placed on the frontier of the State beyond the Posts — but I am a servant of the Holland Company — and they will satisfy any engagements I may make on their account.
