Fort Washington April 4. 1796 Sir I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letters of the 27 February and 19 March 1796. and the enclosure. Cap George Ingerson has received his pay and Subsistence at head quarters up to the 31. December 1794 inclusive and no farther. I have drawn bills for 31.442 dollars as authorized by the Secretary of war in his letter to me of the 5 December 1795. for the pay of the Troops for December 1795 and January 1796 but the 15721. dollars for the pay of November 1795 said to be forwarded, has not yet come to hand.
