Muster Roll for the Forage and pay for the month of January 1796 of the Corps of Artillerists and Engineers at West Point, the receipt thereon amounting to Four Thousand, Two Hundred, Twenty Two Dollars and Fifty Five Cents. N° 3 Timothy Keleighs Receipt for Fourteen Dollars. N° 15 Andrew Thompsons Receipt for Twenty Nine Dollars & Cents N° 16 Abraham Styles D° Ditto Two D° — N° 17 Jordan Turkeys D° for Balance of Pay Six Dollars Twenty one Cents. I transmit you also an account of stoppages of pay made from certain Soldiers at this garrison to the amount of nine dollars, sixty five cents; and an account current between the United States and the Temporary Paymaster at West Point, by which there appears to be a balance in my hands of Four Hundred, and Eighty Dollars and Twenty Cents. At the request of Major Tousard I inclose to you his demand of twelve dollars from the United States, and which he will settle personally with you or himself.
