I have received your letter of the
15th Instant enclosing your account — and am still unable to
act thereon in consequence of not having any documents in
this Office to authorize the charge you make of two dollars
from the 5th of August last, if you should be in possession of
a letter from The Secretary of War allowing you that
that rate. I will thank you to transmit a copy to this
Office, when immediate attention will be paid to the settlement
of the Account and the Balance due will be remitted
ingly.
