The Treasure of the United States will transmit you
the sum of Eight Dollars and Ninety three cents Due to a detachment of the 1st SubLegion in the service of the United States stationed at West Point for the Service of the Ordnance Department being for their pay for the month of January 1796 which sum you are to pay to George (indecipherable) at West Point taking his receipts to be accountable for the application thereof.
