                  I have received your letter of the 12th Inst- and in answer 

thereto have to inform you, that on a reference to the files of the Secretary of Wars’ letter I discovered one from you dated 7th April 1795 enclosing the account for 10 Dollars & 72 cts which has enabled me to settle your account. You will accordingly receive from the Treasurer of the United States the sum of fifty nine dollars and 45/100 being the amount of your commission receiving and paying monies between the 17th May 1793 and 28th November 1795 -for which sum please to forward your receipt.-
