I have received your letter of 7th Ulto with the enclosures, and agreeably to your request you will receive from James Reed Esqr. Collector of the Port of Wilmington North Carolina the sum of Three hundred and fifty Dollars, being for your pay & the pay of your Recruits from 7th August to 31 December 1795 inc. — for which sum you are accountable, agreeably to the endorsed receipts Roll. for which you will please sign duplicate Receipts — The Receipts for the pay of Williams & Henniken will be passed to your Credit, and the balance of Pay due dead men &c amounting to forty five Dollars and ninety six Cents will be carried to your debit.
