Savannah Department of War Accountants Office February 6^th 1790 Sir The Treasurer of the United States will transmit you the sum of Two hundred and forty four Dollars being for the Compensation of Isidore Stout Temporary Engin at Savannah from the 1^st September to 31^st December 1789 inclusive which sum you will please to pay to the said Isidore Stout on his application therefor, taking his duplicate Receipts for the same. Department of War Accountants Office February 10^th 1795 Sir I have the honor of enclosing to you S^t Robert Lee's account for his Expenses from North Thumberland County in the State of Pennsylvania to this City for the purpose of Settling his account as Pay Master to the 4^th Sub Legion and while attending here, and for his expences in returning; This Officer was charged on the Books of this Office with upwards of 38000 Dollars, and has fully accounted for the same; he was necessarily employed on the examination; the charges does not appear to me to be unreasonable, and Should they appear to you in the same point of View I will thank you to approve the same in order that it may form an Item in his account Current now stating.
