When I took up the paper, [undecipherable] I Suspected it, was some of Stodders Grandeur, and as it was sent to the other printers, and desires they would Not reprint the piece: but on asking Stodder if he was the author of it, he declared upon his honor, that he was Not, nor did he know who was — I must Confess to you I was very much ashamed, at Seeing the piece, least Some persons might Suppose, it was published by Some one Concerned in building the frigate [undecipherable]; Should any one [undecipherable] mention, that they Judged either the agent, Myself, or any of the Yard Officers, to be the author of this ridiculous piece, you will please to deny it — I am Your very Hbl.
