Sir Your letter of the 6^th Ulto. duly came to hand with the Muster and Pay Rolls for the months of September October November & December 1795 amounting to Seven hundred Sixteen Dollars and fifty three Cents which sum you will receive of Daniel Stevens Supervisor, Charleston for which you will give Duplicate Receipts — You have enclosed a receipt Roll for your Government in disbursing the above Sum — It also will be necessary before you pay the balance due to William Dorman deceased, to his Sister, the Affidavit of the persons present at his death must be taken Specifying that it was his request that the Money Should be paid to her which must accompany her two Separate Receipts, one Receipt must be for the pay of June, July & August, and the other for September and October 1795, may be taken on the Receipt Roll. I Shall at all times be happy in rendering you any Service in my power. I am Sir &c William Simmons P.S. The sum of Thirty Seven Dollars that was due you from L^t William Cox I have on the adjustment of his Account found a balance of Thirty Six Dollars & thirty two Cents due him which sum has been passed to your Credit on the Books of this Office. —
