[Gen. Henry Jackson, Boston —] War Office January 27 1796 Sir The Secretary of the Treasury has shown me an Account in which there is a large sum charged for relivering Copper bolts. If this work is still going on, pray let it be immediately stopped. There is danger of spoiling the temper of the bolts. It is monstrously expensive, and not necessary. If any have been relivered you are requested to transmit an Account to this Office of the size and Number of feet delivered for relivering, and the Number of feet and size returned, together with the bill.
