I received your letter of the 16th Jan.y 1795. I have Received of John Chester Esq.r Supervisor the Sum of one Hundred three Dollars nine cents, being pay for for myself and recruits for the month of Dec.r 1795. also a rec.t for the above sum, [strikethrough: when duly executed] when duly executed Shall be forwarded to your Office I find Trowbridge to be the man you described — I have informed the Secretary of War of the matter and Shall wait his orders, which will be punctually obeyd — I inclose you a pay Roll for the month of January 1795. pay has not been sent forward for John Bennett, and Nathan Randall, for the months of Oct.r & Nov.r 1795. as you will find [undecipherable] pay, and Receipt Rolls —
