West Point, January 26^th 1796. Sir, I have been directed to charge in the next pay roll the balance of bounties due to four recruits at West Point. I inclose you copies of the orders which I have received for this purpose. Captain Thompson has requested me to observe to you that Simpson has received 6 dollars, Meachan 9 37/100 and Pikes 9. Thompsons Company in 2 Battⁿ. Cap^t. Morrises of the 4^th and being Sensible that Cap^t.
