Sir
In answer to your letter of 9th October 1795 I have to inform you that your Orders drawn on me to the amount of 1528100/100 Dollars have all been paid, and that you will now receive a post note in your favor for the sum of 637100/100 Dollars the whole amounting to 2180100/100 Dollars being the amount of your Estimate for September 1795 for which sum of 2180100/100 Dollars you are requisite to send forward immediately, if it is your wish to have the orders and receipts for payments returned to you, it shall be done — you will also receive the further sum of 923100/100 Dollars, for which you will also send your Rect being the amount of your Estimate for the Month of October 1795 — your Estimates for the Month of November and December 1795 have not yet come to hand —
When you forward the Estimates for these months I will thank you to inform me if it will not answer to transmit the Money through the hands of Edward Carrington Esqr. McJennison for the State of Virginia, this is the channel through which we transmit all Money to that State, and it will be much more desireable than to admit payment of your several Drafts at this Office in the manner you have drawn.
