Jonathan Packard commenced his service as appears in the coppey of the pay roll for August, the 19 day, left 15 days, workt 11 days, and at 19 dollars a month comes to Eight dollars, which is the sum I paid him on the August roll— In Septem^r he laboured 17 days, left 9, for which I paid him twelve dollars and 43 cents— the whole twenty dollars & forty three cents for August and September, and if on the Rolls you have for Said months it Shoud appear (they both [strikethrough: fre] at 929 Dollars & 13 cents) that I have paid him for 19 days too much, it is a mistake of mine, but I expect it is an inadvertency of your Clarks— and if, you would be Kind enough to examine it your Self believe you will find it to be right.
