Pittsburgh Sir Your letter dated Pittsburgh 17^th Instant has been received, I was some what surprised on finding it was not accompanied by the Receipts for bounty paid your men agreeably to a pointed request in my letter to you of the 25^th Ulto the Receipt whereof you have acknowledged for you must be convinced of the impossi- bility of a Settlement taking place before they are produced. Since my last to you, a Muster Roll has been found whereon Risley, King & Helmick appear mustered, I have again to Request that you will comply with my Wishes as Manifested in my letter of the 25^th Ulto: with all convenient Speed.— I am Sir &^c.
