Document 1795Simmons certifies that $29.13 was discounted by John Habersham, Collector for the Customs at Savannah, from the duties on imposts and tonnage and for which he is accountable in pursuance of a warrant to be issued in his favor.
December 28.th 1795. I Certify that from a letter of the Comptroller dated the 28.th Instant covering a Receipt of John Habersham Collector of the Customs for Savannah in Georgia dated the 24.th November 1795 said Habersham has applied to the incidental and contingent expenses of War Department The sum of Twenty nine Dollars and 13 Cents which he discounted out of the monies arising from duties on Imports and Tonnage, and for which he is to accountable in pursuance of a Warrant to be issued in his favor by the Secretary of War to which said Receipt is to be annexed agreeably to the communication of the Comptroller - D.r 29 13/100 William Simmons -
