Mr Josiah Fox
Dear Sir
Being without any of your favors for some time the present reminds you of your promise of the dft. I feel my self Aukardly Situated as to Mr Shore he has never had any Letter mentioning his dismission & Mr Simmonds who is Accountant in the office is writing him in fact that he is Continued I should have thought the proper way would have been for the Secy of War to have wrote Mr Shore indeed I consider it Necessary he holding his Appointments from thence I will thank you to let me hear from you immediately on this Subject as neither Mr Shore or my self know how to act
I am
Yours with esteem
Pennock
