I have to acknowledge the Receipt
of your letter of the 21 Instant enclosing Nehemiah Eveman's
Receipt for three thousands four hundred and forty five dol-
lars and [undecipherable: Sent] Daytons for one hundred and eighteen
dollars which [undecipherable: amounts] to placed to your credit. I have
again to observe that there is no receipt for your Salary,
Duplicates except all that is necessary is duplicates, One
to be held by yourself and the other forwarded to this
office. this arrangement will facilitate the business on
your part.
