Pittsburg 18 December 1795 Sir I have received your letter of the 12^th instant per post and am sorry your Orders for shiping Military Stores have arrived so late in the season; as the risque in navigating the Ohio in Winter is very great — I shall notwithstanding if the River is not immediately shut up by the present extreme cold Weather, ship an asortment of such Articles on Board as have not in the course of last summer been forwarded in considerable Quantities — but Inro that I have since the first day of May last shiped for Fort Washington at several times 540 Common tents 20 Horsemens tents, One Marque 407 falling Axes together with a number of other Articles which will appear on my General return up to the first of October last and all of which must have reached Fort Washington previous to the date of the Generals letter of the 5^th of October last — I am Sir Your Obed. and Mo.
