Albany Dec^ber 16^th 1794 — Sir having been unwell for Several days past, I Could not Send on the inclosed account all together with the Vouchers as you have directed in your letter to me, dated oct^r 28. inst. Upon your observation respecting my business be near at an end, & by your desire to observe my Self, that it is all together uncertain as I do not Know how Soon Some orders may Come to me Concerning the public Stores, out of 19 Carriages that I ought to have in my Store I have but received Seven yet, of which the remainder will Come, I not have little Cash on hand to pay the Gonvoy's men that I am obliged to employ in these or other Cases, having no body under my Command. you allso order me to have lying, Sir, that they Shall be always ready to answer for what I have received, as you will find by my first list of this.
