I enclose a duplicate of my letter to you of the 4th instant.
Gen. [undecipherable] Ball [undecipherable] to Fort [undecipherable] the day before yesterday. he will pay the troops in that quarter and [undecipherable] in town about new year - Hope you will comply with the request I have made for two thousand dollars, as I shall then be desirous of sending Mr Ball to pay the garrisons at [undecipherable] and [undecipherable] - I am [undecipherable] if Colonel [undecipherable] omit the roles for the regiment - I request Mr Ball's turn, as he has taken the [undecipherable] with him in order that the [undecipherable] may sign the [undecipherable].
I enclose you the notes which have been paid to Colonel [undecipherable] for pay master of the militia and I request you will pass the amount there of to my credit.
I also enclose the Account Current of the late [undecipherable] Jones, deceased and the pay rolls N.o 3 & 4 - On the 29th April 1794 I transmitted to your office his account current and the pay rolls Nos 2 & 4 which he had paid in full - I paid to [undecipherable] Jones on the 28th [undecipherable] 1794 Six hundred and forty nine dollars, the amount of a payroll for a detachment of mountain militia commanded by Capt. William Walton - this roll was transmitted as a voucher with my account Current [undecipherable] - Colonel Jones was unfortunately killed before he could pay the men [undecipherable] [undecipherable] credited in his account current and again placed it in the Hands of Colonel [undecipherable]
Mr Gibbons account shall be transmitted as soon as he can procure a voucher from Augusta
