I have by this days mail, received a duplicate of your letter of the 26th ultimo the original said to be in the hands of Col. Proat who has not yet arrived but is shortly expected on his arrival I shall attend your instructions &shall have a good opportunity of sending forward the packet addresd to Caleb Swan by Maj. B. Howe who is to embark for Fort Washing in a few days.
