Capt. Selman called on me just now and expressed his opinion that the 2d brig would not get ready to sail under two or three days. This I shall very much regret. I hoped they would have sailed this fine day. If there is likelihood of delay will it not be best for the first brig to sail? It is suggested too that he is a dull sailor. Is there any thing to prevent her sailing to-day?
