Duplicate receipts I gave him for the money. My last letter to you was dated the 1^st instant. It accompanied vouchers to which letter I beg leave to refer you. Since then, all the time I could spare from public business indispensibly necessary to be instantly attended to, has been employed examining my vouchers a second time, for fear in the hurry of business there might have happened mistakes endorsing them, writing certificates on each of the duplicate receipts to be signed by the persons who received the several articles delivered here. As soon as I finish writing the certificates I will get them signed, arrange the vouchers, make out an account of them, & forward them to you.
