Dear Sir Lancaster 4.th November 1794
The bearer John Hee the chaser of last forward under the [undecipherable] arrangement of Express with Dispatches to the army having just returned with Dispatches for the Minister at War, and but one Express under the present arrangement having called upon me on his Way to the army, and not knowing when one did call on his way from it, I thought it most desireable to let him proceed immediately, more Especially as he Sais me that Gen. Hamilton desired him to loose no time in Delivering them, I hope I shall have acted right, and am in haste
