Your Account for Recruiting was [undecipherable] lanced on the 18^th Ulti^mo by Cap^t Michels paying the on Dollar and one Cent into the Treasury. M^r Fisher w[ill] refund that sum to Cap^t Mitchel. Inclosed you have a Statement of your Account as P M. as far as you have forwarded [it] as it stands on the Books of this Office. You will observe by this Statement the amount I mentioned t[o] have passed to your credit is right. The Pay of Corporal James Rob[ert] son for Sep^t was deducted from the Pay Roll as he[r] will be paid for that period at Governors Island, a[nd] Corporal W^m Garrisons Pay was forwarded for the M[o.] of Sep^t only, as he was made up on a former Roll for July and August. You have therefore only to pay him six Dollars. I am of opinion that Major Tousard may sign the Receipt for Lieut. Geddes Pay.
