Sam^l Tinsley & Ensⁿ Sam^l Allenson for Allo of Wood, were received from Col^o Carrington Esq^r Sup^t for the purpose of obtaining information. As supplies of this kind are generally furnished by Contractors, whose counts are settled at the Treasury, and as no Allowance for Wood have ever been made from this Office, I have thought it proper they should be referred to you that you might inform the Steps proper to be taken. ↵ I am Sir Etc. Sir, I have received your Letter of the 10^th July last covering two Duplicate Rect^s, one for 200 Dollars, signed by J. Story, the other for 1802 Dollars signed by Constant Freeman, which will be passed to your Credit.
