Sir,
Your favors of the 9. 12 & 16 instant I have received — and received of Mr. Samuel Fisher the day before yesterday eight thousand two hundred dollars for the use of the ordnance department, for which money I gave him duplicate receipts.
I now enclose you two packets of vouchers with accounts of them — also the muster & pay rolls of the detachment of legionary troops here for the service of the ordnance department; likewise my account current dated the 30 of last month, in which my account for my salary is not included. These accounts were not quite ready at the time Mr. Fisher left this place.
In a few days I will forward you another packet of vouchers for money I paid out prior to Mr. Fisher's arrival here.
I assure you I have no trouble to have my vouchers as nearly as I possibly can to answer your wishes. —
I am, with great respect
Sir,
Your most obedt.
Humble servant,
Geo. Fleming.
