Samuel Fisher the day before yesterday eight thousand two hundred dollars for the use of the ordnance department, for which money I gave him duplicate receipts. I now enclose you two packets of vouchers with accounts of them — also the muster & pay rolls of the detachment of legionary troops here for the service of the ordnance department; likewise my account current dated the 30 of last month, in which my account for my salary is not included. These accounts were not quite ready at the time M^r. Fisher left this place. In a few days I will forward you another packet of vouchers for money I paid out prior to M^r. Fisher's arrival here.
