An Act Authorizing the governor to transmit certain papers to the Secretary of War and for other purposes— Whereas it became necessary at different periods during the years one thousand seven hundred and ninety [undecipherable] one thousand seven hundred and ninety [undecipherable] one [and] thousand seven hundred and ninety [undecipherable] when no provision was made by the [undecipherable] Government [by?] the [defence?] of the frontiers of this State, to employ the Militia [undecipherable] has been [or?] [undecipherable] purposes And [this?] [undecipherable] has by [the?] [same?]; an expence which ought to be [charged?] to the Government of the United States.
