The Secy of War agreeably to the Request of Mrs Greaton has advanced her ninety Dollars on account of your Pay. There has been a misunderstanding concerning the Pay you relinquished in not having been considered for the use of your Family, and consequently it was stopped, but if it should be your wish to relinquish any part of your Pay for the Benefit of Mrs Greaton, you will please to procure the necessary Certificate from Mr Swan, & empower some person to receive the same. Of this Mr Swan has the necessary Directions, to whom I refer you.
